This drawing intensive will help you understand how to get proportions, scale, value, and perspective using a variety of drawing mediums. A great class to start to improve your observation skills and render what you see, creating expressive artworks.

Supply List:

  1. assortment of charcoal pencils, medium and soft AND graphite pencils, 2B-6B
  2. art gum eraser and kneaded eraser 
  3. soft vine charcoal and white chalk  
  4. 16X20 white paper pad or whatever size you have, please not really small – drawing board or something to support pad
  5. chamois or small square from a cotton tee shirt
  6. brown packing paper or brown paper bag or paper with a brown or grey tint  
  7. spray fixative to secure charcoal to paper - optional 
  8. “Alpha Charcoal” or “Dick Blicks” art supply: black pastel  
  9. India ink and pen and nibs, this you can buy in a package
